Founded in 2020, The Alchemist Den was born at a moment of collective awakening and personal transformation—a time when the world slowed down, and many turned inward in search of truth, peace, and purpose. From humble beginnings, we set out to create more than just a retail experience; we envisioned a sanctuary—a living, breathing altar for ancestral remembrance, spiritual elevation, and embodied community healing.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Austell, Georgia, The Alchemist Den exists at a powerful crossroads—where metaphysical exploration meets herbal apothecary, where reverence for the past meets a vision for the future. What began as a small, lovingly curated space has now evolved into a multi-dimensional, immersive wellness boutique that holds the energy of a much bigger dream: an expansive open-air lifestyle marketplace, rooted in sacred commerce, Black and queer liberation, food sovereignty, land stewardship, and cultural legacy. We honor the land we’re on—land once traveled by hunters, healers, and seekers drawn to the healing waters of nearby Lithia Springs.
The railway that runs daily past our storefront is more than a landmark; it’s a metaphor for momentum, direction, and destiny. Austell’s heritage—built on hope, healing, and connection—is the energetic blueprint we’re weaving into every element of our vision.
Meet the Alchemists
Marquita “Ta” Millen (they/he) — affectionately known as The Alchemist — is a non-binary transmasculine visionary, real estate developer, community builder, and creative director whose multidisciplinary work spans design, healing, housing, and food justice. They are the heartbeat behind multiple mission-driven brands committed to elevating the lives of marginalized communities through thoughtful, sustainable, and imaginative experiences.

Chasity or Madam Alchemy
Priestess of Obatala in the tradition of New African Vodun, is an herbalist, certified community midwife, spiritualist, and published author. As Co-Owner and Operational Lead of The Alchemist Den, she oversees inventory, staffing, and the sacred customer care that defines our storefront. She is the founder of Love & Light Healing, a metaphysical brand that offers soul-level tools, womb wisdom, and spiritual guidance deeply rooted in ancestral practices.
Together, Ta and Chasity are more than entrepreneurs—they are spiritual stewards, cultural architects, and builders of tangible and energetic space. The Den is not just where their brands live—it is where their calling unfolds.
